REPENT YOU MAY BE FIGHTING GOD!

REPENT, YOU CANNOT FIGHT GOD AND WIN!
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” This statement of the Lord can positive or negative. Remember this before you take your next action, the Lord is involved in all.

Memory Verse: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord" (Rom 12:19)

Bible Passage: Acts 5:1-5
1 ¶ But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

The prodigal son returned to his father and said, "... Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son" (Luke 15:21).
·      The first lesson here is that every sin committed by believers and unbelievers is primarily against God, and secondarily against fellow men because it violates the law of God (Isaiah 33:22). Each time you tell a lie, you violate God's law.
·      In Psalm 105:15, God commanded: "Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm". In spite of king Saul's backsliding, he was still God's anointed; hence, David's heart did not allow him to rest after cutting off a part of Saul's robe.
·      This is why I am amazed to hear ministers freely discussing and debasing men of God. That is not part of your ministerial duties. Be very careful when dealing with genuine men of God. Leave God to judge the erring ones.
·      According to Acts 5:1-5, when a couple lied to their pastor, Peter said they lied to God.
·      Falsifying church records is a lie to God.
·      Setting up parishes on paper with no physical presence is a lie to God.
·      Pledging but failing to redeem the pledge is a lie to God.
·      When intending couples cook up stories of how they saw a vision about their spouses when that only existed in their imagination, is a lie to God.
·      When ministers or workers hide under the guise of heavy traffic to absent themselves from weekly meetings in church, it would be recorded by Heaven as a lie to God.

In what ways are you lying to God thinking you are deceiving your pastor? Repent before it is too late! As a bona fide child of God, you do not need to fight for yourself. Exodus 14:14 says, "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace". If you read that scripture from the rear, it reads: 'If you hold your peace, the Lord will fight for you'. Quiet, gentle and unassuming people can be the most dangerous people to offend. The gentleness that fellow is exhibiting may be as a result of his understanding of Romans 12:19. Do not always take gentleness for weakness. When you sin against God, He would want somebody else to whip you, as doing it Himself could be very devastating. This is why you must welcome discipline from your leader.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING:”I pray for someone reading this message today, who is genuinely repentant in restitution, when we sin, it is the law of God we have broken, it is His wrath we deserve and it is His mercy we plead. But instead of His wrath, the Lord will show you mercy; instead of condemnation He will abundantly pardon and grant you His justification. Your case will receive amazing grace from the Lord in Jesus’ name.” (Amen).

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Restitute on your negative actions now to avoid receiving God's cane.

ARE YOU A VICTIM OF COMFORT?

ARE YOU A VICTIM OF COMFORT? BY PASTOR E A. ADEBOYE
SOME PEOPLE FIND IT EASIER TO MANAGE HARDSHIP THAN COMFORT, LITTLE THAN SURPLUSS, BLESSING RATHER THAN BEING A BLESSING, YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A VICTIM!

Memorise: "He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful" (Matt 13:22)

Read: Matthew 13:18-23
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

One major challenge we must face is to recover every good thing we have lost. Nothing is completely lost until God says so. That means, it is possible for you to recover everything of value that has eluded you. The Lord will restore every good thing you have lost in Jesus' Name. David lost his link with God to comfort (2 Sam 11:1-27). Like David, some Christians were mighty prayer champions: they could tarry in God's presence in fasting and prayer for several hours while supplicating. But after success, prosperity or comfort came, they began to ask themselves, why pray so much? Do you know that some believers who live in smaller and less comfortable apartments such as a room and parlour live more spiritually vibrant and God-glorifying lives than those who live in luxurious mansions? Comfort is not anti-Christian. It is only unfortunate that we let it take more valuable things from us. When we owned an ordinary fan, we could still pray at night but when we started living in large apartments with each room air-conditioned, it took away our night prayers from us. Every mark of quality Christianity that success, comfort and wealth have stolen from you must be recovered!

When David was running from one cave to another, he remained in good spiritual form. Before success and fame came, he was at the vanguard of pleasing God. So he conquered the lion, bear, Goliath, etc. But when comfort set in and he had become king as promised, he became a victim of his success. The giant killer who was applauded by all and sundry became comfort's prey. Temptation came and he fell like a pack of cards. Comfort brought the sword of God's judgement into his house. Is the fulfilment of God's promises in your life causing a down turn in your spiritual life? Examine your life and list out areas comfort, success and prosperity are fast eroding God's graces on you and take immediate steps to contain them. Devise a practical plan that can restore you to the place you fell from. You don't have to be a victim of comfort.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you today, you will never again be a victim either of comfort or discomfort, plenty or want. You will henceforth be a victor and a master of every situation and circumstances you find yourself. The Lord will restore every good thing you have lost in Jesus’ Name.” (Amen.)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Don't tempt God! When God's blessings make you to drop in your fellowship, commitment or service in God's house, you tempt Him to take them away, and to return you to status quo.

THOSE PRISON DOORS CAN BE BROKEN!

ANY SIGN OF IMPRISONMENT IN YOUR LIFE? JESUS CAN SET YOU FREE TODAY! – BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE THE TIME TO BE FREE IS NOW AS JESUS IS AT HAND TO SET YOU FREE

Memory Verse: "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32)

Bible Passage: Acts 3:1-81
¶ Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

It is a wonderful experience for the imprisoned to breathe the air of freedom. That shall be your portion this season in Jesus' Name. Some years ago, I repeated my visit to the Kirikiri Prisons (Lagos, Nigeria ). In that visit, I discovered over 1000 people were awaiting trial for so long. The offence of some had a maximum sentence of three years yet, they were awaiting trial for 11 years! There was a man on death row for 27 years. He went to bed every night uncertain of seeing the following morning for 27 years! I was disturbed so I spoke with the Nigerian President, the Lagos State Governor and Chief Judge of Lagos State and by God's grace over 1000 of them got their freedom.

Not every prisoner lives within the walls of a physical prison. The worst type of imprisonment is being within invisible prison walls while appearing to be free. Nobody would offer to help you out because there would be nothing to suggest your type of imprisonment. The lame man in Acts 3:1-18, was physically born into the prison of sickness and was there for over 40 years. Some people are not in physical prisons but in invisible prisons.

One of my uncles who studied in Britain returned and in an attempt to protect himself against forces of darkness, went to meet a herbalist and obeyed the man's instructions to the letter. He got seven leaves of a particular plant, spread them on the floor and defecated on it. Thereafter, the herbalist gave him a particular powder to spray on his faeces and instructed him to eat it. After this, he returned home boasting that since nobody touches faeces, therefore nobody could touch him. He almost died of cholera! He had eyes but could not see.

Professors who with all their Western education still bow to trees and worship various objects do so because they are in a spiritual prison. A medical doctor who knows and teaches people about the dangers of smoking but is still smoking himself is imprisoned to a deadly habit. He needs deliverance.

It is not enough to point accusing fingers at some person somewhere. Consider your life and trace any presence of any form of imprisonment. And where you can locate one, prayerfully take steps to break loose from it. If you are free from physical and invisible prisons then you are truly free.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you today as you read this message, that the Holy Spirit with is divine search light will fish out the root cause of the problems comforting your life that have put you in physical bondage leading to spiritual imprisonment today and in the name of Jesus and the power that is in the blood of Jesus, every chain binding you is broken and every yoke of the enemy over you is removed as you become free indeed in the name of Jesus. (Amen).

THERE IS NO FRIEND LIKE JESUS MY LORD HE IS THE GREATEST ALLY EVER!

TO MAXIMISE YOUR ALLIES MAKE JESUS YOUR BEST FRIEND
AN ALLY IS A PERSON, A FRIEND OR A SUPPORTER WHO ASSOCIATES OR CO-OPERATES WITH ANOTHER

Memory Verse: "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways" (Ps 91:11)

Bible Passage: Psalm 91

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction thatwasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

One thing you must strive for this year is to have God as your ally. That is wisdom. If you are weak but you have a strong ally, you become automatically strong as the strength of your ally covers your weaknesses. As a result, the strength of an individual is not limited to his personal strength, but includes that of his ally. It takes wisdom not to fight alone. The wise not only surrounds himself with allies but effectively utilizes them for his benefit. There are people who have people but operate as lone rangers. There are leaders who are overstretching themselves concerning their assignments when they like Moses have 70 elders that could help reduce the burden. It takes wisdom to delegate. It takes wisdom to identify the strengths of your subordinates and derive maximum support from them for the collective good of the organization. Some husbands fight alone. They hardly ever pray with their spouses. As a result, their success level remains limited. If you continue to defeat 1000 enemies by praying alone when you can take on 10,000 by enlisting the support of your ally - your spouse, it is obvious that you are seriously limiting yourself. If you are wise, you will deliberately avoid frictions, quarrels and disagreements with your spouse so as to optimize benefits from your ally.

Talking of allies, there is one incomparable ally. He has never lost any battle. He is called the Most High. Psalm 91:1 says if you have Him as your ally, your security is guaranteed. He will back you up with all His Heavenly host - billions of angels, the elders, and the cloud of witnesses. He could instruct His angels to carry you in their hands so that you do not hit your feet against satanic stumbling blocks (Psalm 91:11- 12). He has promised to meet the needs of His children out of His riches in glory. While studying Psalm 23, when I got to the fifth verse which says, "...Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over", I asked God: "Why did you not stop at that point?" He replied, "Because there is much more where the blessing is coming from". If you have God as your ally, you can never lack anything good. Your joy will be full (Ps 16:11). Do you have God as your ally today? Are you getting the best from your allies?

THE FATHER’S BLESSING.”I pray for you as you read this message today, Listen, The Lord will reveal to you this reason your destiny partner, who will always be there for you for him/her. This person will be for your children, your ministry and your loved ones, long even when you have gone home to glory like you would do for him/her. To see this destiny partner, you’ve got to keep on looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith together believing Jesus is the Best Destiny Helper for both of you. I pray you will make the right decision in the mighty name of Jesus. (Amen).

THERE IS NO FRIEND LIKE JESUS MY LORD: NO MATTER WHO THAT FRIEND CAN BE: I HAVE TRAVELED OVER LAND, I HAVE TRAVELED OVER SEAS: THERE IS NO FRIEND LIKE JESUS TO ME!

JESUS THE GREAT RESTORER IS HERE FOR YOU!

HAVE YOU LOST ANYTHING? THE GREAT RESTORER JESUS IS HERE TO HELP YOU!
A NUMBER OF US HAVE LOST SOMETHING PRECIOUS AT SOME POINT IN TIME. SOME HAVE LOST THEIR HEALTH IN PURSUIT OF WEALTH OTHERS HAVE LOST THEIR WEALTH IN PURSUIT OF HEALTH. WHATEVER THING YOU HAVE LOST, CRY TODAY TO JESUS THE RESTORER TO RESTORE EVERY GOOD THING YOU HAVE LOST!

Memory Verse: "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you" (Joel 2:25)

Bible Passage: Joel 2:25-27
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

In Mark 2:1-12, a man who was paralysed from neck downwards was brought through the roof top to Jesus. He had lost hope for health, destiny and life in general. The first thing the Lord did was to forgive him his sins and restore his spiritual life, before healing him of his paralysis. Caging a strong and talented person can be most frustrating. All the paralytic could do was to watch helplessly as his natural endowments were wasting away. Although, looking physically fit, many people are still struggling with the spiritual captivity of their potentials. If you are in that situation, the Lord will set you free today.
"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you" (Joel 2:25). Quite a number of us have lost something precious at some point in time. While some have lost their health in pursuit of wealth, others have lost their wealth in pursuit of health. Some have lost their spouses, children or home in general. There are some who were so full of joy that on rising up in the morning, they would sing as if they had just won a lottery. But today, when they see somebody laughing, they wonder if there is anything worth laughing about. Such people have not only lost their joy but have surrounded themselves with sorrow. Some have lost their spiritual gifts such as the ability to hear from God but pretend as if things are still the way they used to be.
However, many who have lost something of value did not appreciate what they had until they suffered a loss. The prodigal son did not value the food that flowed at his father's table until he faced severe hunger in a strange land (Lk 15:11-17). Some believers do not value what they have until they lose it. Some who claim to be saved do not appreciate the power in the blood of Jesus or the Name of Jesus. Some people think it is by their power they live above sin until they fall into a backslidden state. Some losses are caused by carelessness, pride, disobedience, etc. David was a victim of this. According to 2 Samuel 11:1-27, after success, prosperity and comfort had come, instead of being at the war front, David was sleeping at home. Before long, he lost his invaluable link with the Almighty God. What have you lost? The good news is that you can enter into the joy of restoration. Cry to the Lord to restore every good thing you have lost.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for everybody reading this today who have lost something precious, your day of recovery is here. The Great restorer will restore back your life. He will restore your health. He will restore your broken home. He will restore your finances. He will restore your wayward prodigal children. He will restore those precious children lost to miscarriages and premature births. He will restore you backsliding and crooked ways. The Lord will perfect everything concerning you and give you peace in the mighty name of Jesus.”(Amen.)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY

THE WINNING PAIR!

WITH JESUS YOU ARE ALWAYS A WINNER!

THERE IS NO MOUNTAIN WE CANNOT CLIMB: WHEN I SAY ‘WE’ I MEAN JESUS AND I: IF YOU HAVE JESUS AND HE IS THINE: THERE IS NO MOUNTAIN THAT YOU CANNOT CLIMB!

Memory Verse: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Phil 4:13)

Bible Passage: Philippians 4:11-13
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Someone once challenged me some time ago. In responding, I told him if he wanted to engage me in a duel, then he had won before the fight: but if he was engaging my God in a duel, then he had lost before the fight. If God is on your side, you are assured of victory. One secret of winning is for both God and man to play their part. You have a part to play in every battle that confronts you. To leave everything to God is courting defeat because God will not do your part. To pass an examination as a student, you must play your part. You must be a bona fide student, attend lectures regularly and pay maximum attention during lectures. You must take notes and revise them. You must find time to study your textbooks, handouts and note books. You must ask those who know better to teach you in areas you find difficult. Thereafter, as you pray, God will play His part and the result will be glorious.

God releases strength to back up only those who do their part. In 1 Samuel 17:34-35, when David attacked a lion and a bear, in defence of his father's sheep, God released strength for victory. Do you know that the strength you require to effectively protect your family, loved ones and church members from the lions and bears of the world is available? It will only be released to you when you have played your part. Unfortunately, many people fail to play their part, hence they suffer defeat while victory had been reserved for them. When young David was hitting the lion, with his tiny, feeble hands, God was also hitting it with His Almighty hands. Isaiah 40:28-29 says God empowers the weak. True, but not every weak fellow. If you are a lazy, weak person, you cannot access divine strength. It is exclusively reserved for hard working folks. When David faced Goliath and shot a stone at his opponent, common sense would have taught him to dodge. Goliath saw the stone heading towards him and wanted to dodge but God positioned his head to receive the hit. Everyone who has vowed that you will not reach your God-given goal shall meet their waterloo this season. What is your input into that earnestly sought victory? If nothing, then immediately do something; without your input, there can be no victory.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING:
”I pray for you today as you read this message. Your day of visitation is nearer than you can imagine, the Lord shall visit you, and you shall have a divine encounter with the Lord. Because you are a diligent seeker, your reward from Him shall be miraculous and because you are a diligent persistent worker, the Lord shall promote you far above your peers and competitors this season in the mighty name of Jesus.”(Amen.)

THERE IS JOY WITH FREEDOM COMING FROM THE LORD!

THERE'S JOY IN FREEDOM

YOU ARE HAPPY WHEN YOU MEET THE LORD IN YOUR DARKEST MOMENT BUT YOUR JOY IS FULL WHEN HE SETS YOU FREE FROM YOUR CAPTIVITY: MAY YOUR JOY BE FULL THIS SEASON IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

Memory Verse: "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad" (Psalm 126:3)

Read: Psalm 126:1-3
1 ¶ A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Freedom is a wonderful experience. The day a prisoner is set free, is a day of great joy. This is so whether the prisoner in question was in a physical or spiritual prison. In John 5:2-14, we read of a man who was held in the prison of sickness for 38 years. But one day, Jesus walked up to him and healed him and boy, he knew the joy of the free! In 1995, while still in the first auditorium, a renowned missionary and elder who has since gone to glory preached a sermon during our Convention and made an altar call. As at that time, I had already been the General Overseer of the RCCG for some years but had been battling with my flesh. I knew if I lost that battle and fell, many people will go down with me so I wanted to be free. When this elder made the altar call, for those who wanted to be free, I was the first to come to the altar. Many pastors were surprised that I answered that altar call but I thank God I did. The victory the Lord gave me that day is so overwhelming that the Sun of righteousness has been shinning brighter through me ever since. Some people out of shyness lose great opportunities to be free. If you know the joy of being free, you will not lose it for any reason including shyness.

I visited Kirikiri Prisons (Lagos, Nigeria) for the first time as a young pastor in 1975. I went in the company of a senior pastor. We had a great service there and I was asked to pray a prayer of thanksgiving. I wondered how I could possibly pray such a prayer in the prison. I must have prayed a very short prayer: "Almighty God, thank you for life because when there is life, there is hope. Thank you Father because you are still on your throne in Jesus' Name I pray". That trip to the prison changed my life dramatically. The organist was about 25 years old and quite good on the keyboard. He was dancing while playing the organ to the extent that I whispered to the pastor who took me there that it appeared the man was about to be released. I was told he had bagged a life sentence. In my assessment, he is one of the most talented organists we have yet, because he is in prison, the world may never benefit from his tremendous skills and potentials. At the end of the service, the keyboardist took the closing prayer thus: "We thank God for those of us who came from outside: Lord take them back home safely. Oh Lord, for those of us going back to our jails, please do not forget us here". Tears filled my eyes. I realized the worst thing that can happen to a strong, talented and intelligent individual is to be locked up in a prison. Are you in one? The Lord will set you free.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for someone reading this message today, who is in deep spiritual prison, The Lord our God is with you, He will fight for you, He will rescue you, just like the 33 miners trapped for 70 days in the bowel of the earth in Chile were miraculously being rescued. You freedom will to total and your joy shall be full in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen.)
